Orthodontic problems
All orthodontic problems are classified in 3 general categories according to the relationship between upper and lower teeth.
CLASS I malocclusion: in this category, there is no skeletal discrepancy between the upper and lower jaw. There are ONLY dental problems like "crooked teeth", teeth in wrong positions, spaces among teeth etc.

CLASS II malocclusion: In this category there is a skeletal discrepancy between the upper and the lower jaw with the lower jaw being in a retrusive position. This relationship causes problems to the bite and the appearance of the face (face esthetics).

CLASS III malocclusion: In this category there is a skeletal discrepancy between the upper and the lower jaw with the lower jaw being in a protrusive position or the upper jaw being in a retrusive position or combinations of these two conditions. These relationships cause problems to the bite and the appearance of the face (face esthetics).
