Good Nutrition

sweetsMake smart choices for your children’s snacks. Avoid the snacks listed in the left column as sticky and containing a great amount of sugar without nutritional value at all ("empty calories" according to dietists). Prefer the snacks in the right column as more nutritious and containing a small amount of sugar and starch. You may give one chocolate or one ice cream or other deserts every day to your children without increasing the risk of dental decay provided that their teeth are brushed proberly by the parent morning and night. Do not give too many juices to your children. Juices (fresh or processed) and refreshments contain a great deal of sugars and are considered as the most dangerous snacks in causing dental decay. Do not forget that your child must not consume more than one juice per day.
