Dental floss
Brushing alone is not enough to remove bacteria as it cleans only 3 of the 5 surfaces of the teeth. Use dental floss every night after brushing. It may prevent dental decay at the proximal surfaces of the teeth (right pcture). Also, flossing decreases significantly the bad breath due to the reduction of bacteria that are trapped between the teeth or the fillings. Waxed dental floss is softer and usually more acceptable to children.
